Question 3

what kind of institution might distribute your media product and why?
Lionsgate is a well known distributor that is know for bringing out thrillers which is a key reason as to why we decided to use it. Our distribution company is Lionsgate, we decided to use this as we wanted our product to be marketed around the world, which is what Lionsgate is also known for.

The types of roles that the distribution company would take would be to market the film and put money towards the making of the film.

An example of how they would market the main actors within the film would be to have their names in the opening tittles, coming up in order of status from low to high.

Realistic drawing of a brown eye, with four fingers grabbing the bottom lid from inside.I would consider our film to be presented in a similar way to how the films; the eye; the cabin in the woods and Texas chainsaw. Most Thrillers are rated 15 or 18, however we would rate our a 15 as it contains strong language, portrayals of sexual  activity, sexual nudity, brief scenes of sexual violence or verbal references to sexual violence, discrimination language or behavior.

Our film would be shown at the cinemas and be brought out on DVD, and after the first five years after release date out of cinema then we would air it on t.v.

If we had the budget of a multi-million pounds then the things that i would change would be the actors, as i would use well known actors so that it would allow fans from different people to want to watch the film, making a bigger intake. I would also use a different set as it was difficult to get the right shots from what we were using.

Our production company 'Lost Productions'

We decide to call it 'Lost productions' because we wanted it to relate to the genre of the film we created. The logo its self consists of red and grey writing that looks like dripping blood, there is also a red hand print, that is used to suggest a hand that had been bleeding. The black background is used to create mystery within the opening sequence. The logo it self was created to make the audience feel afraid and nervous before the sequence starts.

Within a film the production company's main roles is to help create the film, advertise the film, budgeting the film, scheduling, the scripting and the casting for the film and other types of jobs. The production company are also responsible if  things go wrong with the film. For example, if the set was destroyed, or if the film never made enough income.
